angelnetgirlCan’t believe it Wednesday (oops now Thursday) and I still haven’t done my review of In My Time of Dying, well I have watched it twice now and I think I can just about be coherent about it.
First off I have to say I am so happy our show is finally back and the spoilers for the upcoming shows just get better and better (apart from the obvious). I really hope it will survive this timeslot, I wish downloads counted towards ratings :)
This is one of the few times a season premier has lived up to what I hoped for, season openers can be quite a lack lustre affair but this worked so well as it picked up exactly where Devils Trap ended. The way this episode was presented and the atmosphere of it was just amazing, I love the new titles, I squealed when the fire appeared (sad I know), I think they are much more appropriate for the show, I still love the old ones but these just rock! Before I go any further Dean looked ridicoulsly hot in the scrubs etc, can we see this again.
I loved Sam standing up to the demon and the anguish in his voice when he was shouting for Dean. The acting from all was superb, Jared especially pulled out all the stops, he has improved from the finale. Can’t fault Jensen as always.
I thought Tessa was a great character, I really liked her, might be the fact that there wasn’t really any flirting, unlike in the original sides. There were so many great lines in this episode; I loved Hoodoo Mojo and Sams WTF face after he said it.
Full on Swayzed that mother will be an all time classic, still waiting for the Wincest re-enactment of the pottery wheel or even better the love scene!, cant wait for the Sam/Spirit Dean fics. And Dr Kripke hee that nearly made me fall out the bed, do I sense a new game of seeing how many names we can recognise.
The Wincest was very strong in this episode, even with out any touching, there’s just so much love! I love how Deans first thought when he woke up in the hospital was Sam not Dad, every time Sam sits on Deans bed I squee. Would it would have hurt to have a hug in this episode or at least some hand touching, something. Sam’s face when they were trying to resuscitate Dean kills me, he loves his big brother as much as he loves him!
Even though the ending is completely heart breaking it hasn’t helped my issues John, I hate him for whatever he said to Dean, I know he gave his life for him but all he has done is add to Dean’s heart ache. And telling Sam it is his fault that Dean is in a coma, I always want to smack this man. Whatever he knows about Sam I don’t like it, I think I have a thing for The Demon, he can make anyone sexy!
Seeing the Impala and Metallicomp smashed to bits is almost as painful as watching John die. I want the Ouija board! I could quote so many parts from this ep but everyone has already done it. Promo for next weeks ep (this week eehhh) look creepy, clown *shudders* Not long to wait now, I will once again need to avoid everywhere until I can download and watch it.
I expect the Jo hate to reach new levels but after reading the wonderful Kripke interview (god I love this man. COMIC YAH! Wee! Winchesters) and the Wincesty spoilers for episode 9 I’m not as worried anymore. This season is just going to get better and better and if there up to episode 13 and she only appears in 3 of them and none of them include kissing yet I may be able to tolerate her till she gets her claws in then it will be back to death threats.
I have so many things to download now each week, I am starting to lose track of the days everything is on, I will get Lost and Bones when I go home tonight, I hope Lost will be worth the wait. I know Bones will be fab, I am so turning into a Hodkins/Angela shipper, unbelievably cute.
I need to make a schedule of what I need to download on what nights; I am going to be sharing a lot of it with my best mate at work and my brother and sister. When Lorraine heard I was downloading House she nearly fell out the chair!
Part of my DVD rampage arrived yesterday, I got season 1 of House, One Tree Hill and Prison Break, season 5 of Smallville and season 3 of Due South, now I am just waiting on the American releases of Season 2 of Veronica Mars, Lost, House, Greys Anatomy and Season 2 + 3 of One Tree Hill. Those should keep me busy till I die.
I know I haven’t seen many episode but I adore House, he says the most inappropriate but hilarious things, I love all the characters but I wish I could snark like him! He kinda smoulders as well doesn’t he, the I watched last night was when the 17 year old girl was kinda stalking him, is it wrong that I would have like to see them together. Hmm I have a thing for completely inappropriate and doomed relationships *shocker* *vbg*
Prison Break was just wow, I didn’t think they could top last weeks but they did again, so much crammed into one episode. My brother seems to get peeved if it’s predictable, but there’s only so many ways a situation can turn out. Then again the only real shows he’s ever watched are Prison Break and Lost, the rest of the time its things like South Park so he’s not really that bothered about characters and not actually wanting them to die, he can’t get some of the shows I watch.
in my opinion the best ones are where I care about every character and what happens to them not waiting for what twist were gonna come up with next. There was some great brotherly love in this episode, Michaels face when Lincoln was about to drive off and they get a hug *see that Kripke, that’s what we want, only our hug would be hotter* They were just so cute and slashy, doesn’t set me on fire though like our Winchesters so I have no real desire to hunt down fic.
Really enjoyed the first episode of heroes, I have the second one to watch but I think it definitely has potential to be an amazing show, I love the Japanese guy who can teleport so funny. Bit unsure about is it Nikki, whose reflection went postal, very unusual power, the hand down the garage disposal very cool.
Smallville kicked off with a great season opener as always, they are great at season finales and openers, sometimes it just the in between episodes that lose the way. I think this season will be really good though, still loving Lex/Lanna and we are getting more in the Superman mythos, because of Lex I once again want a full length leather jacket!
Can I say there is some great perverse pleasure in listening to EVP on a bus surrounded by people, especially when its pre-series slash! This edition was great as always with some of my fav underage Wincest represented.
Cant believe I only have to work the rest of today and tomorrow and then I get to lie in for two weeks, don’t even have to get out of my PJs if I don’t want, can stay up as late as is natural to me and read as much Wincest/RPS as I can handle.
Oh and new Robin Hood starts on Saturday, please BBC not muck this up!
OMG I JUST LOGGED ONTO LIVEJOURNAL AND ALL MY FORMATTING ON MY LAYOUT IS GONE. OK panic over, somehow it had reset it self to default options and taken of my custom layer, fixed after I freaked out for a bit :)
